We offer a number of differing approaches to managing your money through our Wealth Management Proposition.
|
Advisory Management: Under an Advisory Service you are fully consulted on every transaction undertaken within your portfolio and must give your express agreement for any alterations to your strategy and fund selection before they are made.Discretionary Management: With a Discretionary Service, the appointed manager/s are given permission to undertake alterations without your express agreement on each individual transaction but they must act within your agreed investment policy. You are also kept informed of alterations as they are made but the manager/s retain greater flexibility to act more quickly by not having to make contact every time an alteration is made. Discretionary mandates tend to be more popular in today’s global markets to ensure that important decisions are not delayed, which means that time and money is not wasted due to delays in receiving your express agreement. We have developed extended strategies within the Discretionary Service arena (by popular demand!) as detailed below but they can also apply to an Advisory Service in most cases. Additionally, and often, the various approaches can be combined so don’t necessarily view them in isolation. Collective Investments: Portfolios under this criteria will hold Unit Trusts, Investment Trusts, Open-Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) and other types of ‘pooled’ funds within a given strategy and risk profile. Segregated Mandates: These types of portfolios will usually hold, in the main, direct investment into individual Shares/Equities, Gilts and other directly quoted or unquoted assets again, within a given risk approach and investment strategy. Multi Manager Asset Models: We have access through our key investment contacts some focused ‘Multi-Manager’ investment models usually only available to institutional investors that effectively follow a ‘model’ portfolio structure across all risk profiles. In addition we can utilise particular Multi-Manager and/or Fund of Funds structures to implement required strategies. Cash Management: Our Cash Management service offers clients the opportunity of cash based investment strategies with a selection of leading banking institutions and is constantly monitored to ensure the best deposit rates are achieved. |
